about me
|
Born and raised in Basel, I was very enthusiastic about sports from a young age. After many polysportive experiences in football, figure skating and diving, I finally decided to stick to tennis. At the age of 16 I decided to move to Biel and from then on train at the Swiss Tennis national training center. In 1999 I started playing professionally and spent 18 successful years on the ATP Tour before eventually retiring in October 2017. The highlights of my career were reaching world number 52 in Singles and winning the Davis Cup in 2014. |
However, during my career I also had to deal with severe setbacks and had to fight my way back three times after long injury breaks. My successful comebacks are something I am particularly proud of. This is why I count the "ATP Comeback Player of the Year 2009" Award to be one of my best successes.
Since my retirement, I have been focusing on different business areas in which I want to offer and pass on my tennis know-how and my large network to my customers.
